With the holidays almost here, easy home decor is what inquiring minds want to know how to do. We came a across a great way to easily add warmth and a touch of nature to your holiday table settings this season with easy homemade bamboo napkin rings. From home entertaining expert Martha Stewart, here are the three simple steps to creating decorative bamboo napkin holders:
- Using painter’s tape, mark off 2-inch sections of a bamboo pole with a node or joint in the middle of each section.
- Secure the bamboo pole with pegs in a miter box and carefully use a miter saw to cut the bamboo on the tape markers.
- Finally, take a drill fitted with a 1 1/2-inch paddle bit and use it to remove the node fibers, hollowing out each ring.
Here at Bamboo Fencer we have a variety of bamboo poles that would be perfect for this DIY holiday decor project. Choose from pale yellow-beige Taiwan bamboo poles, thin-walled Tonkin bamboo poles, extra-long Moso bamboo poles and speckled ebony Black bamboo poles. Visit the Bamboo Fencer website to see photos of each one and to place your order today!
