Woodworking isn’t everyone’s forte. But you don’t have to be a professional to build your own professional quality framed bamboo fence. You’ll be able to add privacy, security and even property value to your home or business with a fence that is naturally sturdy and naturally beautiful as well. This do-it-yourself project is not only economical but sustainable too!

The project will involve running cedar 2×4 rails between 6×6 posts. Getting the posts firmly in the ground is the hardest part. Then use a plum line to keep your posts straight. Then next step will be rolling out the Bamboo Friendly Fence into the frame and screwing it in. You’ll finish off the fence by installing the trim cap boards.

See how all of this is done in the Bamboo Fencer video on Installing a Framed Bamboo Friendly Fence. In the video, our friend John Novac of Novak Landscape Design will walk you through building the fence from start to finish as he explains in detail each step of the way!
